A poll: where to put SF in my library?

September 30th, 2008 (10:21 am)

We're trying to move some things around in the library.  We have limited space, so we have issues with finding space for everything.  Right now, we have a small shelf on the edge of YA, next to the Audio, for Science Fiction and Fantasy.  I find most patrons go straight to Fiction to look for their favorite SF authors, only to come to me asking where the books are.  Personally, I'd like to move all the SF in with the Fiction and claim that extra shelf for YA, which doesn't really have it's own space, because I want to give the teens a space of their own.

So I put it to you, my dear SF loving friends.  What do you think?

Hey Writers...

Do any of you writers have experience with editing poetry?

I'm writing a poem for P and Ken's wedding and have just finished the first draft.  I haven't really seriously written anything in five years or so, so I'm feeling pretty damn rusty.   The wedding is in September, so I've got ages to revise it.  But since it's to read at their wedding, I want it to be pretty close to perfect!

Ow my brain

Feeling: worried about my brain
Hearing: woxy holiday mixer - band aid - do they know it's christmas?

Now that the weather has been cold and dry and because I'm an untapped energy resource (I think I could power a small town if you plugged me into a wall) I have been experiencing really annoying (and sometimes painful) zzzzzaps of static in my ears when I wear my iPod earbuds.

Any suggestions on what to do?  Should I stop using the buds and get old fashioned headphones?

I am worried about my brain being fried.
